There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. Twice a year, Intevillers will run a charity drive to help uplift those in need. This will teach the children the importance of giving back and lending a helping hand whenever one can. It teaches principles such as compassion, kindness, empathy and resilience.
Sports day takes place once every term where children will partake in various competitive sporting activities. Physical activity enhances the mental and physical development, as well as social skills and has proven to also improve academic performance in individuals young and old.
Art is a great form of expression and as learners unleash their inner Picasso throughout the year, it is only right that we afford them the opportunity to showcase their masterpieces through an art exhibition which takes place once at the end of the academic year. Parents get a chance to also purchase some these artworks on display.
The best way to prepare the little for the future is through exposing them to the endless possibilities that are there to what they can be. Career day happens once yearly and it affords the children an opportunity to learn about the many different professions that are there.
Intevilles very own version of a picnic, a Readernic is a reading picnic whereby Intevillers, children, parents and the staff of Intevillers, will lay out and have a reading filled day with refreshments.
